With glorious views of surrounding countryside, our authentic Mongolian yurts offer everything you need for a comfortable and eco-friendly glamping experience. Each yurt is alone in its field, giving you privacy and space. It is a stunning bit of craftsmanship, and furnished with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The yurts are as 'green' as their paint! There is no electricity, instead we have provided solar fairy lights, solar lanterns and tea light lanterns.... and a view of the stars through the transparent central panel of the roof! In the evening, gather around your own stone fire pit, talking about your day, and toasting marshmallows as the sun sets.

The Facilities

Each yurt has a king size bed and a double futon, so sleeps 4 with space to spare. An extra mattresses is stored under the bed if needed. More people can be accommodated by arrangement.

There is a wood burner that keeps the yurt cozy and warm whatever the weather! Your first basket of wood and kindling is provided, plenty more is available to buy from us if required.

We have built each yurt a dedicated outdoor kitchen with wide doors that can be fully opened on a glorious day, but can be closed to form a comfortable kitchen should the weather turn unpleasant (unlikely in Cornwall!!) There is drinking water on tap just outside your yurt, and there is a 20l container in the kitchen that you can fill if you would like to. There is an insulated cooler box, with ice blocks that can be exchanged every day, keeping your food fresh.

A two ring gas cooker (and gas) is provided, along with the BBQ and enough coals for the first evening.  All cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery are provided as well as initial supplies of tea, coffee, hot choc and sugar as well as some milk to get you started. There are tea towels, washing up equipment (including washing up liquid), salt and pepper and cooking oil. We supply all bed linen, including extra blankets and a hot water bottle,  but please bring your own towels and a torch or two. A large picnic table and extra camping type chairs are supplied too.

The composting toilet is right next door, and is only for your use! It is clean and odourless, and now has a small basin with running water for hand washing. 

​

 The shower facilities are in a nearby outbuilding and are shared with the other yurt (our solar panels supply most of the electricity used in here). There is also a regular toilet in there! These facilities are basic, but clean and the shower is hot. There is also a dedicated washing up area adjacent to the shower area, it has hot and cold running water and is in the same room as the freezer and your new secure phone charging box!
